Road to Gastric Bypass Surgery
……continued
We did the trip there and back in one day. CRAZY but doable! My father is Super Man. It was not without incident though.
Our GPS system decided that it needed a break or something and conked out on us. “Okay, let’s not panic. I have the Google map instructions somewhere in my paperwork.” I say, as I frantically rummage through my folder of papers. “Who’s panicking?” my mother asks, as she calmly takes the printed out directions from my quivering hand.
I had forgotten that my parents were seasoned travelers and softly settled back into my seat to yet again enjoy more new scenery since Google maps was taking us a whole new way. Who knew there were so many ways to get to the same place!
Anyway, I met with my nutritionist. She said the words I was waiting to hear for three months. “Continue doing what you are doing and the doctor’s secretary will be calling you within two weeks with your surgery date.” I kept my composure, thanked her and departed her office with the smile of the Cheshire cat.
Two weeks later, Kristin, my doctors secretary called and informed me that my appointment was for November 18th.
…….To be contined
